2/26/2010 - Prevent Child Abuse Pickens presents the 4th annual St. Patty’s Day Shindig. Dust off the kilt, come out and celebrate the “wearing of the green”! Join in the fun on Friday, March 19th at 7:00pm at the Chamber of Commerce building in Jasper. We’ll have live music and dancing from the critically acclaimed Celtic Band – Keltic Kudzu from Atlanta, Georgia! Founded at the turn of the century, Keltic Kudzu performs the world of Celtic music, and Celtic music of the world. From early madrigals to Elvis, from Dougie MacLean to Dolly Parton, from Loch Lomond to Louisiana to Led Zeppelin, they dig for the Celtic roots and you’ll be doing the jig all night long! The bagpipe solo of Amazing Grace is not to be missed. Enjoy gourmet hors d oeuvres and a traditional Irish feast prepared by one of our finest local caterers. There will be a silent auction with many exciting items to bid on and we’ll raffle off several prizes as well.
