The Director is responsible for the overall acting/singing in the show. For Smoke, Thelma (Bay) Cagle has been designated as the music director. The Director needs to work closely with Bay and create and supervise all the acting and blocking. The Director is responsible for auditions. The Director must also work well with the Producer.
The Producer is responsible for all the activities not on stage -- in other words, choosing and supervising all backstage, costuming, set design and construction staff, choosing a front of house manager, ensuring that publicity and ticketing are carried out in accordance with Tater Patch policies, and a host of other duties.
Nan Nawrocki is the director for Guys and Dolls. Ellen Whitten is the music director and Denver Clark is the Choreographer. These are the only positions that have been chosen for G&D.
Prior experience is not a necessity, but theater experience of some variety is a plus. If you are interested, please email rockimail@gmail. com and your interest and/or questions will be relayed to the Tater Patch Board of Directors.
Auditions for these two shows will be held simultaneously. Tater Patch would like these to be held in mid March. The performance dates for G&D are July 22-25 and July 29-August 1. The performance dates for Smoke on the Mountain are October 18-31 and November 4-7.
